It’s been pretty heady and heavy around here this week. How about a break from ideas cerebral to images-sensational? Here is the latest trailer from Warner Brothers for the first installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, due in your neighborhood theaters this November.
Please share your thoughts on what you experienced here, especially if that experience was markedly different than the one you had via either your imagination on first reading (and re-readings) or on reflection after studying the book with The Deathly Hallows Lectures.
I must admit that I really liked the new trailer. It seems that this film is going to be a faithful adaptation of the book. I was especially glad to see that the Potter’s tomb in Godric’s Hollow does indeed have the quotation from 1 Corinthians 15:26 on it. (See my blog for a photo of this and other details.) I also liked seeing the quick glimpse of the Deathly Hallows symbol and the triangular shape of Harry’s mirror fragment which shows Abeforth’s eye reflecting within it.
Horrifying.. Exciting.. what not..!!
Woooooaaaaaaah! (that about sums it up!) Thanks for posting it, John!
