   Perfect I cried i liked rue a lot this fits her death but is it the sog katniss sings to her cuz this isn’t Jennifer Lawrence singing and they should make her sing it

   This song reminds me more of Peeta and Katniss when they are in the cave, and almost peaceful while they are healing/resting up. I don’t really think that it relates to Rue because in my opinion, she won’t ever really be safe and sound, even in Katniss’s mind. She was killed in the Games and to Katniss I feel like that will make Rue forever be a ghost to her.

   Doesn’t it also remind you of Prim? I could certainly see (hear?) this song as representing Katniss’s protection of her sister whom she fights so hard to feed, clothe, comfort, and defend.

   I think this song is about Rue when she dies, although in the book it says that Katniss thinks Rue won’t be alright, and in the song it says “you’ll be alright”

   I honestly do think Safe & Sound is Rue’s. After all, in the book, she states that what she loves the most is music, and part of the lyrics are: ‘Hold onto this lullaby
   Even when the music’s gone, gone’. A lullaby is a song sung to lure someone to sleep, so the lullaby part can be associated with that. Although, no one will actually know until the movie. :3

   this song definetly reminds me of Katniss and Prim..but also Rue. I guess it could work out both ways. But it does say things that may be very similar to Katniss singing Rue to sleep. And when Rue dies Katniss cares so much and wants her to know it’ll be okay.
   “I remember tears streaming down your face
   When I said, I’ll never let you go”
   Katniss does say she wont let go

   “Come morning light
   You and I’ll be safe and sound”
   “Here the daisies guard you from every harm”

   very similar. It makes sense.

   some people are saying Rue won’t be safe and sound..she’s going somewhere now..where she will be safe and sound
