On May 22, Universal Studios in Orlando will be officially opening its new Epic Universe Park. In addition to areas devoted to themes as diverse as Nintendo and the classic Universal horror movies, the park will add a new Wizarding World component, featuring Paris and the Ministry of Magic, to complement other pieces drawn from the books and films.
While a full ride through of what promises to be an amazing ride is probably in the future, for now, youtubers and other media types have been allowed to preview the Ministry and the set up story of Delores Umbridge’s attempt to escape, steal a time turner, and change history. Check out the amazing ( and huge!) Ministry and share your thoughts on whether you will be boarding a broom and flying to Florida once the park opens!
Orlando’s Universal Studios parks. The Diagon Alley area, located in the original Universal Studios Park, features Muggle versions of many of the shops in Harry’s world, along with the ever-popular Escape from Gringotts ride. The Hogwarts Express will take guests (as long as they have tickets that will get them into both parks) to the Hogsmeade section of the Universal Islands of Adventure theme park. Here guests can join Harry on the Forbidden Adventure ride, or on Flight of the Hippogriff, or even on the newly opened Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure. Tonight, Universal will debut a new attraction at Hogwarts Castle (located in the Islands of Adventure if you are having trouble keeping up). Join us after the jump to talk about the
